A country of temples built in impossible places. A country of forts. A country of mysticism and spirituality. A country of a profound environmental conscience.<\/p>\n

You might think that this sounds like a fairytale, but it\u2019s completely real. And, for this reason, it\u2019s completely different.<\/p>\n

It was only recently that the government started issuing tourist visas, and you can still feel the authenticity in every corner.<\/p>\n

And happiness. Happiness is not only an abstract goal, but rather an essential condition. In Bhutan they avoid economic quantifications such as GDP and instead officially use the Gross National Happiness (GNH), which includes those metrics considered to be necessary to live a fulfilling life.<\/p>\n

The visitor translates the country\u2019s happiness into experiences. In experiences like completing the most beautiful routes along woody forests or poetic fields. Or in extraordinary steps to arrive to dzongs<\/i>, the XVII century defensive forts, from where the views are always spectacular.<\/p>\n

But what culminates the path to our own GNH is visiting its monasteries, redoubts of peace and serenity.
