Afterwards, our guide will accompany us on a walk through the jungle to learn about the flora and fauna of this unique ecosystem. We will reach a viewpoint from which we will contemplate the impressive Barron Falls, especially spectacular during the rainy season.

We will have free time to explore the village of Kuranda and enjoy its relaxed atmosphere. Kuranda is known for its artistic spirit and hippie heritage.

To end the day, we will descend over the rainforest aboard the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, a spectacular cable car that flies over the Barron Gorge National Park for 7.5 kilometers, offering panoramic views of the tropical rainforest.

If, due to operational reasons, it is not possible to use the Skyrail, the return will be made on the historic Kuranda Scenic Railway.

Today we will discover Brisbane on foot during a private tour that will allow us to experience the city in the most authentic way. We will begin in front of the historic Brisbane City Hall, one of the city’s most iconic buildings. If time permits, we will go up the Clock Tower to enjoy a panoramic view of the center.

From there, we will walk through the streets of the CBD (Central Business District), observing how historic buildings coexist with contemporary architecture, until we reach the City Botanic Gardens, a pleasant riverside park that offers a green escape in the heart of the city.

We will continue towards the Sky Deck of the Star Building, one of Brisbane’s most impressive viewpoints, before crossing the river towards South Bank, the city’s cultural heart. Here, we will stroll through gardens, galleries, the famous Brisbane Sign, and the iconic bougainvillea-covered walkway known as The Arbour.

We will continue towards Kangaroo Point, where we will enjoy some of the best views of the skyline and the Story Bridge.

The tour will conclude at Felons Brewing Co., a lively riverside venue where we can relax with a local craft beer while enjoying lunch.

Día 16

Thursday, February 19th. BRISBANE – NORTH STRADBROKE ISLAND – BRISBANE

Half board

Breakfast at the hotel. This Thursday’s journey will take us to one of the natural jewels near Brisbane: North Stradbroke Island, known locally as “Straddie.”

After a short drive to the coast, we will board the ferry that will take us to the island across Moreton Bay. During the crossing, we may spot dolphins and even humpback whales during the migration season.

Once on the island, we will explore some of its most spectacular landscapes. At Point Lookout, we will take the famous North Gorge Walk, one of Australia’s most beautiful coastal walks. From this approximately 1.5-kilometer trail, we will enjoy breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and have good chances of spotting sea turtles, dolphins, manta rays, and, in season, whales. We will also have time to relax on one of the island’s pristine beaches, where we can swim or simply enjoy the natural surroundings while we have lunch.

Later, we will visit Amity Point, a small coastal village where it is easy to spot koalas in the eucalyptus trees and kangaroos resting in the nearby meadows.

Depending on the season, we may also visit one of the island’s inland lakes, such as Brown Lake or Blue Lake, places of great cultural importance for the Indigenous Quandamooka people.

At the end of the day, we will return to the mainland by ferry, enjoying the sunset. Arrival in Brisbane and accommodation at the AMORA HOTEL (or similar).
